HISTORY
Marlins Park located in Miami, Florida surpassed the goal by officially becoming the first MLB stadium by creating a single unit retractable-roof system stadium in any sport. This achievement allowed the stadium to receive the prestigious award of LEED Gold Certification, anointing the facility as the most sustainable ballpark in MLB.
Scope of Services
To assist in the design of playing field surface grading, sub-surface drainage collection system and irrigation system for the stadium baseball field. The main ballpark stadium playing field is a natural turf playing field surface. The surface grading of the playing field was designed to meet the MLB standards. The master under drain collection systems (featuring over 14,000 feet of pipe) that makes the field playable one (1) hour after taking 2 inches of rain. The final construction documents included all associated construction details and associated written specifications.
