Project Description

Chukchansi Park has been the home of the Fresno Grizzlies since its gates first opened in May of 2002. A gem in the heart of Downtown Fresno, the ballpark has served as a home base for 72 home games every spring. Playing at the highest level of minor league baseball, over 300 Triple-A players farm grown in Fresno have moved on to play for Major League teams nationwide.

With a previous firm, as the project landscape architect, responsibilities included design and construction administrative services for the ballparks playing field. Featuring a semi-irregular field shape with dimensions measuring 324' down the left field line, 385' in left center, 400' in center field, and 335' to the right field foul pole, the playing field won “Best of California Award, California Construction Link, 2002”.
